By the time BarkinDog Band played its final concert in 1977 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, BarkinDog Audio & Sound was born. Long-time musicians John Anderson and JT Huff started the sound company based on a love of music and a knowledge of what bands need and audiences desire. From 1978 to 2004, BarkinDog Audio & Sound was one of the premier live sound production and sound system installation companies in Northwest Arkansas, working with performers such as George Strait, Garth Brooks, Phyllis Diller, the Smothers Brothers, BB King, The Band, and just about everyone in between.
In 2005, John Anderson moved to Western Colorado and put BarkinDog “to bed” while he pursued a lifelong dream of building his own cabin in the mountains. By 2009, with the cabin completed, John gradually began working in the sound world again by sub-contracting many projects and events for Snob Productions in Grand Junction, while rebuilding the BarkinDog concert system to be compact but efficient and plenty powerful.
BarkinDog Audio & Sound now has its new “Small but Mighty” live sound system that is perfect for local and regional concerts, festivals, weddings, and conferences.
John Anderson is an old-school technician, with decades of knowledge building and performing with analog systems. He is a problem-solver who knows how to put together a great no-frills, problem-free show. When you hire Barkindog Audio & Sound, John is there – from start to finish.
